Editing Services
If you are interested in having me review your fiction or non-fiction creative writing projects, here are the guidelines and examples.
Submission Guidelines:
1. Email your story/chapter/essay to me as a PDF file. You can reach out to me at jamestr@udel.edu or check out my contact information in the Contact tab! I will confirm once I receive it and let you know if I need anything else to start the review. If I do not get back to you within a day or two of your initial email feel free to follow up! Once I'm done reading and editing your story I will email you back with a PDF file containing my thoughts and critiques of your writing, as well as a line-edit within a week of your submission.
2. Please make sure your submission is 15 pages or under in length. I will only accept up to 2 pages over the limit. I will not be able to read and give quality feedback in a timely manner with projects over that limit.
3. My preferred font is size 12 Times New Roman or whatever non-stylized font you prefer to write in. I'm not too picky with font, I just prefer it be legible! You can either submit in MLA format or in Standard Manuscript Format! And don't forget to add page numbers!
4. I do not accept payment, nor do I accept tips. Please do not pay me in anyway shape or form. I will not accept any money or monetary transactions. I do this not because I wish to be paid for my editing work, but because I want to help other writers improve.
